It would be so nice to start this paragraph by saying I’m a 30 something…but those days are gone. We will leave it at that.
I am a graphic designer/artist and writer at heart. During my adult 40-45 hours a week I am in marketing where I get to dabble in the arts sometimes, but not as often as I would like to anymore.
Going back err… a few years… I used to make my parents pen the words to stories I wanted to write because I didn’t know how to spell. They were definitely not Pulitzer’s…I’ve read a few. But like many aspiring writers, if it’s in you… it’s in you and you have to put it on paper. Or, since it’s the 21st century, digital paper.
I used to write poems and inspirational quotes for a wholesale company on the artwork I created. Ah….those were the days. I miss it sometimes, but now I have new aspirations!
My life is messy. Some of the messiness I created by making not so smart choices. OK, using a bad word here…let’s say stupid choices. Because there were. Isn’t there for everyone? Some messiness just came by happenstance and it just is. But life is beautiful even in the messy.
If I can remember that and I can share that tidbit of knowledge, then I will remain happy even in my mess.
